2001年三个村的组织合并，另设新合村委会，即今日的新合村。[2]

地名[edit]

据地名由来，村名取建新、永合两个村委会各一字而成。[3]

村内现有农业用地10000多亩，设有中山市市级现代农业示范园区。[1]

文化[edit]

村里获得「广东省卫生村」「中山市宜居示范村庄」「中山市秀美村庄连片示范带」「中山市文明村」等称号，又被认定为「中山市慈善示范社区（村）」。[1]
