民乐社区坐落于东凤镇中心区，距镇政府约2公里，辖有26个居民小区。社区所在的民乐围，其地先由淤积形成大坳沙，清道光年间陆续筑成数围，民国九年才合并定名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年，此地曾与安乐合称民安乡。此后历经第九区、第七区、南头区等隶属变化，1983年改设民乐乡，1986年为民乐村委会，1989年设管理区，1998年恢复村委会，2013年改为社区居民委员会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

东阜路、凤翔大道、兴华东路与同吉路横贯社区全境。社区北面与同安村相邻，东面接和泰村，西面连安乐村；北面隔鸡鸦水道与顺德相望，辖区内设有广中江高速出入口和南沙港铁路站点。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

截至2025年1月，社区户籍为1705户，人口7477人；另有外来流动人口约1.6万人。[2]

社区总面积5846亩，其中耕地面积77.5亩。社区内设学校2个、社区卫生站1个。[1][2]

文化[edit]

社区取得的荣誉有广东省卫生村，以及四星级的广东省宜居社区称号；另获中山市先进党小组，以及流动人口和出租屋管理工作先进服务站等表彰。2021年12月，社区被认定为「2021年度中山市绿色社区」；2026年3月，被认定为「广东省第三批百千万工程典型村镇」。[1][2]
