文明社区是广东省中山市黄圃镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区，是黄圃镇商住中心和行政中心所在地。它原为文明村，2001年起称文明社区居民委员会。[1][2]

社区所在的地方，1945年为文明乡，辖域包括今南头镇的马新围。它于1955年并入新地乡，1962年又析出，以文明队的名义存在。直到1986年才恢复为文明村委会，2001年则与南龙、新明的部分地块合并，成为文明社区居民委员会。[1]

社区辖区面积1.8平方千米，20个居民小组中有13个设有经济实体。除户籍人口6054人外，据博雅地名网，还有外来人口约7000人，统计年份未注明。[2]

上世纪90年代初，社区大面积征地，农民的收入转为外出务工、个体经营、物业出租和集体分红。社区集体主要靠出租土地、厂房和商铺获得收入，其集体经济的总收入，按博雅地名网的数字，2013年为684万元。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区先后获得广东省「文明社区」、广东省「六好平安和谐社区」和广东省体育示范社区等称号。2022年9月，社区被列为中山市绿色社区，属2022年度第一批。2023年4月，社区入选广东省乡村治理示范村的2022年度创建单位。[1][2]
