沿江村是民众街道下辖的行政村，位于街道东南部，含水域的总面积约13000亩，沿横门水道一带分布。[1]

2001年10月，前丰、新盛、上浪三个相邻村庄合组为沿江村，村名源于临近较长水道的地理位置。[1]

村内有长近7公里的横门水道风景线，全村辖4个自然片，共26个生产小组。[1]

全村1046户，共4675人，其中男性2317、女性2382。大姓为梁、陈、苏、郭等，外来人口205人，党员117名。[1]
