白兰桥村在五桂山街道北部，离五桂山办事处约4.5公里，是长命水行政村所辖的自然村。村子初名“把栏桥”，1949年后因谐音改为今名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清雍正十二年即1734年，廖启元自旧永安（今紫金）迁来，在溪河上设独木桥，村因桥初名把栏桥。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子东面是东区的三溪村，南面与石榴坑村相接；向西北穿过金字山隧道，即可到达石岐城区。村域坐落于天葬坟山北麓，城桂公路、长逸路与龙井路穿境而过，民居呈长方形块状分布。[1]

人口民族[edit]

世居村民为汉族客家人，使用客家方言。2018年户籍人口568人。[1]

经济[edit]

传统上以农业为主，现今以物业出租为核心，村民收入来自工资、房租和村集体分红。[1]

文化[edit]

村内保留廖氏宗祠与龙井古井，井旁有树龄超过300年的伯公树（银柴）。村里存有《廖氏族谱》，并有“世彩堂”堂号文化，当地沿袭冬至祭祖、制作萝卜粄的习俗。[1]

抗日战争时期，五桂山游击队曾在村中活动，村子是广东省革命老区村庄。1993年，村中出土一具清光绪年间的古尸，据称为广东罕见。[1]
