花苑社区位于中山市城区中心地带，是东区街道下辖的社区，占地约0.68平方千米。[1][2]

社区大致东起兴中道，西至华柏路，南面为中山三路，北面为孙文东路。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

2002年5月，花园居民委员会全部与柏苑居民委员会的一部分合并，设立花苑居民委员会，两会名称各取一字，由此得名。[1][2][4]

威力居委会于2005年并入社区，柏山村委会则在2008年并入，名称此后沿用。[2][4]

人口与区域[edit]

社区有3906户常住家庭，常住人口13418人，外来人员约3600人。[3]

据百度百科，社区常住人口约1.4万人。[1]

设施与配套[edit]

社区内有市级、区级政府机构60多个，并有各类商铺610间。[3]

社区党群服务中心于2021年1月投入使用，内设长者饭堂，并设有社区党校。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年8月，社区获国家卫生健康委老龄司公布为「2021年全国示范性老年友好型社区」；2021年12月，被认定为「2021年度中山市绿色社区」。[2]
