新基村是广东省东莞市麻涌镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东北部，紧邻中麻公路，面积4.4平方千米；与中堂镇马沥之间隔着一条江。下辖20个生产队。[1][2]

南宋淳祐五年（1245年），丁、仇、李三姓先后迁到此地立村，因地势较高处居住逐渐形成村落，取名「新基」。村庄曾称「宁乐里」。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网载，此地原先隶属中堂司的新基乡，1938年更名为新和乡。新中国成立后的1949年改属东莞县第八区，1950年与华阳组成新华乡，1953年转入第十四区并恢复新基乡之名。[1][4]

合作社成立于1954年。1958年转为麻涌公社的新基营，两年后改称新基大队。1983年复设乡政府，1987年改为管理区，1999年设为村委会。[1][4]

经济[edit]

新基村的传统农业以香蕉、水稻、甘蔗为主，其中香蕉产量高、质量好。镇政府栏目称，20世纪90年代工业发展迅速，出现了一批知名企业；土地统筹与「三旧」改造推进后，大型企业陆续落户。[2]

镇政府栏目称，2023年村集体总资产约3.13亿元，经营收入3351万元，净收入2850万元，当年留存积累547万元。辖区内现有企业53家。[2]

文化与名胜[edit]

新基莫氏祠堂位于八宅坊，明万历年间（1573年至1620年）始建，为五间三进的合院式建筑，保存「一祠四塾」的形制。祠内碑刻中以清末宣统年间所立者最有价值。该祠于2019年被广东省人民政府公布为第九批省级文物保护单位。[3]

镇政府栏目称，村里以「小桥流水凉亭」为特色，并修缮了两间不可移动历史文物。[2]

荣誉[edit]

镇政府栏目列出的荣誉有：1958年，村庄获国务院授予「农业社会主义建设先进单位」称号；2000年为「广东省民族民间艺术之乡」；2012年为「广东省历史文化名村」；2015年认定为省级传统村落；2017年为「广东省文明村」；2022年为「广东省乡村治理示范村」；2023年为「全国乡村治理示范村」。[2]
