梅沙村是广东省东莞市洪梅镇下辖的行政村，紧靠镇中心区，博雅地名网称它是全镇第二大村。政府网站称，村内户籍人口4900人，另有新莞人约2000人；全村辖区面积3.5平方千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

政府网站称，梅沙明末已立村，历300多年。村名初称毛沙、额铁沙，又称毛溪；因地处泥沙冲积，改称梅沙。最早居住的是徐、江、叶三姓，之后梁、陈、谭、谢、胡、彭等姓相继迁入，徐、叶两姓因战乱和饥荒迁往他乡。[1]

博雅地名网则记，最初是徐、江、叶三姓村民来此定居，村名为毛沙或毛溪；清代中期有梁姓迁入；清末梁元旭考取秀才，在村中很有威望，村名遂改今名。两处对改名的缘由说法不同，并存于此。[2]

新中国成立后村称梅沙乡；1957年并入望牛墩大乡。1958年设梅沙大队，划归中堂公社，1961年改属道滘公社。1981年以两村首字命名洪梅，设洪梅公社。1983年复为梅沙乡，1987年称梅沙管理区，1999年成为村委会，延续至今。[2]

地理与交通[edit]

村与广深高速、107国道相连，望沙公路与莞麻西部公路穿村而过，距东莞西站直线距离约1.5公里。[1]

政府网站记，村配合镇村工业园改造，并参与河西一带成片的“工改工”项目，又引进数字经济、智能制造等项目，集体经济有所发展。[1]
