南城村是广东省东莞市道滘镇下辖的行政村，位于镇中心区，距莞城西南约10公里。[1] 村民委员会设在道滘镇滨江西路130号。村内有南城工业区，镇里的一些公共设施也集中在本村一带。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

本村的前身，是1957年由南城坊、南边坊和西村坊合并而成的南城高级农业社。它在1960年成为大队管理委员会，1982年改为道滘区下的南城乡，1986年改称南城管理区，直到1999年才设立村委会，一直沿用至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全村分为12个村民小组，组名多带「九」「永」等字，如九一、九二、永一、永二。[1] 百度百科给出的小组数目为8个，与博雅地名网不同，此处以博雅地名网为准。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网，本村面积为1.6平方千米。登记在册的村民有四千三百五十多名，外来的新莞人则超过四千二百。[1]

经济[edit]

南城工业区内曾有商店、饮食店和理发店二十多家，又有一处农贸市场。[2]

2020年9月、2021年10月和2022年10月，南城村先后列入淘宝村名单。[1]

文化[edit]

2009年度，南城村获得广东省「文明村」称号，并获东莞市「文化建设标兵村」称号。[1]
