中围村是沙田镇下辖的行政村，原位于䲞沙岛北部，四面环水，辖区总面积3.8平方千米。村委会下辖沙头、中围、西中、下围四个原自然村。截至2025年12月，全村户籍568户、2060人，外来人口约380人。[1][2]

2011年前后，因东莞港的开发，村民陆续迁入民田村南环河畔的䲞沙花园，村子的居住格局由此改变。村集体盘活留用地，引进了多个工业与仓储项目。2025年，村子获评广东省民主法治示范村。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

中围村东邻洪梅镇的洪屋涡村，西面和北面与麻涌镇的漳澎村相邻，南连和安村。改革开放以前，村民以务农为生，村集体除一间砖厂外几乎没有工业。[1]

2003年，虎门港的总体规划获得批准，规划把䲞沙岛作为石化工业的重点地块。为配合东莞港（时称虎门港）的开发，村民从2011年起陆续搬迁至䲞沙花园。博雅地名网记载的搬迁起点为2006年，与村政府网站所写的2011年不同，两说并存。[1][2]

博雅地名网所载数字约为2017年的情况：村内户籍人口1920人、外来人口约150人，户籍家庭511户。村委会下辖中围、下围、西中、沙头四个自然村，设中一、中二、下一、下二、西中、沙一、沙二共7个村民小组。[2]

经济[edit]

中围村有485亩返还地，村委会将其盘活以招商引资。据村政府网站，村里已招来五个项目，南粤石化与广东宝泊的项目都在其中，五个项目均产生了租金收益。此外，村集体还参与了宝田实业、盈莱服装等经济发展项目。[1]

社会事务与荣誉[edit]

村党总支下辖3个党支部，截至2025年12月共有党员75人。2018年村里开设长者膳食饭堂，2024年䲞沙花园综合养老服务中心建成，为老年人提供服务。[1]

2025年沙田镇政府工作报告称，中围村获评广东省民主法治示范村。[4]
