竹溪社区是广东省东莞市厚街镇下辖的社区，位于镇中心区，2007年4月挂牌成立。它的前身是1999年设立的厚街镇居民委员会。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区原名厚街镇居民委员会，承担政府下派的各项任务。社区的居民分散居住在全镇各社区和机关企事业单位，为便于管理，社区划分为街市、上凤林、任联、大塘、涌口、桥头六个片，每片设片长、组长作联络员。[1]

百度百科称，社区现有户籍居民约5800户，常住人口一万四千人上下。博雅地名网所载的则是约5600户、常住人口12300人出头。两处统计年份均未注明。[2][3]
