梅林村在大岭山镇西北部，北面是连平村，东南面与太公岭村相邻；建设路延长线穿过村的东侧，莞长路沿西部边缘经过[1]。村辖区面积1.02平方千米，分叶屋、邝屋两个村民小组，股东487股[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，1950年梅林隶属连平乡，1957年改属大沙乡；1958年公社化后，它与旧飞鹅、连平、太公岭、大环、大地一同组成岭东营，划归寮步公社[2]。此地在1961年成为梅林大队，1969年划入大地大队，1980年又以梅林大队的名义重新分出[2]。1983年设乡，1986年为管理区，1999年改称梅林村民委员会[2]。

经济[edit]

村集体自筹资金建成厂房与宿舍约95000平方米，商业建筑约5700平方米[1]。村内有外商企业5家，民营企业约60家，产品以电子、五金、木器家具和皮具为主，另有商铺200多间、出租屋200多栋[1]。
