历史沿革[edit]
1953年，金桔村归大沙乡所辖；1958年公社化后，与大沙、鸡翅岭合编为大沙营，隶属寮步公社；1961年大岭山公社设立，此地改为金桔大队[2]。1983年设乡，1987年为管理区，1999年定名为金桔村民委员会[2]。
经济与设施[edit]
2024年，村组两级集体经营总收入5576万元，经营支出1129万元，2024年12月底的村组两级资产总额为49355万元[1]。全村党员193人，设8个党支部，其中2个属功能性党支部[1]。
村内正在推进「后山」休闲公园、「大塘」鱼塘截污、「大围」休闲绿道、「比坑」喜庆堂和村文化广场升级等工程，辖区内学校众多[1]。村子获得「东莞市文明村」「东莞市青年文明社区」与「东莞市市容环境优美村」等称号[1]。
