龙背岭社区位于塘厦镇中心区西侧，距行政文化中心约5公里。社区东邻田心，南连大坪，西侧挨着大屏嶂森林公园。辖区面积8.39平方千米，下辖3个自然村、6个居民小组。本地户籍1074人，以叶氏和张氏两大姓为主[1]。
文化[edit]
龙背岭是塘厦镇内唯一被称为客家文化传统社区、华侨之乡和文物之乡的社区[1][2]。维基百科称，镇内讲客家话的人主要在龙背岭一带[3]。
经济与荣誉[edit]
2016年，社区两级经济总收入为1584.7万元，以厂房租赁为主，没有负债。这一年，社区在镇里的干部工作量化考核中被评为先进社区（前5名），在社会管理方面也列前5名；此外还获得安全生产及消防工作先进集体和争创“单打冠军”先进集体两项称号[1][2]。
全镇的镇村“工改工”项目为产业提供了近60万平方米的高品质空间，龙背岭优质产业空间项目是东莞市首宗高品质低成本产业空间试点，属于其中一部分[4]。
