位于黄江镇东南部的长龙，是东莞市黄江镇下辖的一个社区，离镇政府约13公里，是全镇最边远的社区。社区2011年8月1日挂牌，由原长龙村单独组成。[1][2]

社区四面环山，辖内共有七个自然村，吓围、竹山下等皆在其列。镇政府网站称，社区面积约18.85平方千米，森林覆盖率约九成。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

百度百科称，长龙建村已有四百余年，村中仍保留着七处成片的传统村落，里面有旧式的排屋和碉楼，也有祠堂、教堂、民国时期的洋楼，以及古井、古树。[4]

博雅地名网的沿革记述，1950年时属长江乡，1952年划入塘厦区的长龙小乡，1958年并为长龙大队，1962年隶属黄江公社。1987年大队改设管理区，1999年管理区改建村委会，2011年才改为社区居委会。[1]

竹山吓是本地最早立村的自然村，建于明嘉靖二十九年（1550年）。村名「长龙」的来由是四周群山环绕，东侧又有龙顶山脉。最早定居的叶姓因战乱由河北、福建等地南迁，至2021年已有四百余年。[5]

地理与生态[edit]

镇政府网站所载，社区的林地与果园合计约21582亩，森林覆盖率达到89.67%；耕地约1583亩，水库与河流约610亩。[3]

社区位于东莞南部丘陵山区，境内有大屏障与黄牛埔两个森林公园，南山坑、大石坑等水库，以及水渠与农田果林。[3][4]

大屏障森林公园是东莞市第二大森林公园，黄牛埔森林公园则在社区北部。宝山森林公园位于社区东侧。[3]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网记的是2011年的情况：社区总人口约一万八千五百人，户籍约两千五百人，外来人口约一万六千人，辖区有工厂79家，其中外资15家。[1]

镇政府网站所载为2023年的情况：常住人口两千九百七十余人，流动人口一万六千余人；工厂一百八十九家，个体工商户四百九十间。[3]

2023年6月，社区村级集体资产约一亿九千万元，比上年底增加约两千八百万元。（2023年上半年）村集体收入约一千零四十万元，纯收入约八百八十万元。[3]

文化与古迹[edit]

社区户籍居民均为客家人，传承客家话、饮食习惯、舞蹈与民间工艺，最具传统的是舞麒麟与舞狮，春节时社区的麒麟队与醒狮队都会表演。[3]

秀荣别墅亦称李保楼，位于竹山吓，始建于清末，占地约1200平方米，由花园、两层主楼和碉楼三部分组成，碉楼六层，高约20米。它是全镇保存最完好的碉楼大院。[5]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，长龙社区列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；同年12月，社区被列为首批国家森林乡村之一。[1]

2022年10月，省农业农村厅确认长龙社区为荔枝专业村，归入「一村一品、一镇一业」一类。2025年5月，社区被纳入全国示范性老年友好型社区的创建名单，时段为2025至2026年。[1]
