田美社区是广东省东莞市黄江镇下辖的社区，位于镇的东部，2005年12月由数个村合并组建，是东莞首批村级体制改革的示范社区之一。[1][2]
博雅地名网与百度百科都记其辖区面积约12平方千米、户籍4415人、常住五万余人；镇政府网站关于田美村的一页则说村域面积约2.2平方千米。两说口径不同，本文并录。[1][2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年至1982年，这里是田美大队的辖地。1982年大队改为乡，称田乡；1987年起称田美管理区，直到1999年12月才撤销，改设村委会。[1]
2005年，东莞市政府批准几个村并为一个社区，同时设立居委会，延续至今。并村的数目，博雅地名网两处说法不一：一处作六个村合并，其中社贝村于2011年并入；另一处则作五个村。[1]
社区居委会于2007年11月挂牌成立，2008年7月设立镇级二级党委，2011年8月政务服务中心挂牌。[1]
村落与古迹[edit]
镇政府网站的田美村页称，此村清代立村。最早迁入的是曾氏，相传先从中原到韶关南雄珠玑巷，再迁到黄江，至2012年时已有三百来年。[3]
村中古迹包括一座曾氏祠堂，建成约已百年（以2012年计）；另有秀才第门额的砖雕，以及一棵细叶榕，树龄约158年（亦以2012年计）。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网所载2011年的数字为村级总收入6690万元，纯收入为4547万元。[1]
社区的办公大楼占地2.5万平方米，建筑面积6780平方米，内设图书馆、残疾人康复站、老人活动中心，另有健身房。[1]
荣誉[edit]
至2022年初，广东省乡村振兴局把田美社区列为2021年度广东省乡村治理示范村的创建单位。[1]
2021年9月，广东省司法厅公布的2021年省级「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单中有田美社区。[2]
