巷头社区位于大朗镇中心区，毗邻松山湖、寮步镇、东坑镇等园区和镇街，总面积约3.4平方千米[1][2][3]。社区是大朗毛织产业的主要集聚地，政府网概况称拥有2000多家毛织企业，覆盖约3.25平方千米的毛织商贸核心区[1]。2013年，社区被授予「中国毛织第一村」称号[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
百度百科记述，明末清初这里归东莞县文顺乡第三都，民国时属第三区。1998年成立巷头村委会，2004年改为社区[3]。
产业[edit]
镇级毛织项目有毛织贸易中心、纺织世界和环球贸易广场，此外社区还建有骏马大厦与环城物流园，发展“毛织加电商加物流”的模式[1]。规划方面，包括毛织整烫、电商直播选品、毛织科创、设计师创意设计等中心，以及电脑横机智造大厦，并推进连片的“工改工”项目[1]。
社区治理与民生[edit]
社区划分为八个网格，每个网格由一名两委干部驻点。政府网概况称，社区装设视频监控约380个高清摄像头，并在三小场所和出租屋安装电气火灾监控系统556套[1]。
