社区下设11个居民小组，如新圩吓、镇江头、珊珠棚，另有大埔、大和、七和、元长等，以及石一至石四。政府网站2025年9月的页面称，社区常住人口约2.6万人，其中原居民2842人。[1]

社区处于广州、深圳、惠州、东莞四个城市之间，地理位置优越，交通便利。社区依山傍水，观音山森林公园与石马河、官仓河相互映衬，区内有星级酒店、商业中心、农贸市场、学校和医院。[1]
