罗沙社区位于莞城街道东南面，辖区面积1.7平方千米。它的前身是罗沙大队，成立时间为1950年。[1][3]

社区内分为六个居民小组：罗村与步步高，桃苑与东湖，天宝和天台。设有2个二级党委和17个党支部。辖区内有翟氏宗祠等文物。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年后这里称罗沙乡，归莞城市管辖；1950年改为罗沙管理区，属莞城镇。1958年公社化时，罗沙与博厦并入同一公社，称博罗营。1961年改用罗沙大队的名称，1980年复为罗沙管理区，1999年改为罗沙街道工作办公室。[2]

文物[edit]

翟氏宗祠在罗村路口，年代为明至清，2012年11月列入第九批东莞市文物保护单位名单。[2]

荣誉[edit]

社区获得过「全国城市体育先进社区」「全国绿色社区」「全国综合减灾示范社区」等称号。2023年的广东省民主法治示范村（社区）名单在2024年1月确定，罗沙社区入选。[1][2]
