万江街道是广东省东莞市下辖的街道，位于东莞市西部，东江及其支流环绕辖区，河涌纵横，属水乡地带。辖区面积48.6平方千米，下辖30个社区居委会。[3][4]

辖区的万江村立于明天顺八年（1464年）。1986年区公所撤销后设万江区街道，此后改称万江街道；两种资料所记改名年份不同，见正文。[1][5]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前，今辖区分属东莞县第一区、第六区和番禺县第四区。1949年10月起分属莞城市、东莞县第四区和第八区，1953年分属东莞县第一、第十三、第十五区，1955年改属附城区、道滘区和中堂区。[5]

1957年撤区并大乡，辖区分属新村乡、万江乡和中堂乡；1959年，万江人民公社由附城一带分出而设。1983年，原公社改为万江区；1986年区公所撤销，改设万江区街道，归入市中心区范围。[5]

关于改名的年份，博雅地名网记为2002年11月由万江区街道改为万江街道，百度百科则写作2000年3月，两者相差两年，此处并录。[1][5]

地理环境[edit]

辖区内河涌有80余条，岸线全长近90公里。东江南支流、东莞水道、中堂水道等水道穿境，金鳌洲、龙湾一带位于东江之上。[3]

107国道、广深高速和环城路穿越辖区，辖内有国家对外开放口岸龙通货柜码头；东莞地铁1号线在辖区设坝头、曲海、人民医院三个站。[2][3]

人口与经济[edit]

据百度百科，2020年末常住人口共328856人。[1]

规模以上工业增加值为53.18亿元，较上年增加11.3%；2020年地区生产总值168.7亿元，增速4.6%。[1]

全街道的工业企业合计8061家，其中规上企业283家。另有93家企业列入省级专精特新名单，6家为国家级小巨人企业，高新技术企业共315家。[3]

智能装备被定为街道的支柱产业，覆盖3C、锂电与半导体三大领域。数控装备产业集群在东莞仅此一个获评国家级中小企业特色产业集群，街道另获「广东省数控装备技术创新专业镇」称号。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

金鳌洲塔在金泰社区的金鳌洲上，为八角九层的楼阁式砖石塔。塔于1597年动工，1624年完工；清乾隆初年因塔身倾圮而重修。1989年6月，它被列为广东省文物保护单位。[8][9]

下坝坊在坝头社区，是广东省历史文化名村，占地约1050亩，保留有詹氏宗祠等古建筑。[3][7]

文烈张公祠位于万江墟社区村头坊。1895年，张姓族人筹款把抗清人物张家玉的旧居改建为祠；1959年洪水冲毁了祠堂，如今只存红石匾额与石狮。[6][10]

万江赛龙舟被列为国家非物质文化遗产项目，街道素有「龙舟之乡」之称。[3]

著名人物[edit]

古道又名锦榕，出生于1919年，为万江共联村人，1938年入党，抗战时期在水乡一带以教书作掩护开展工作。其故居在共联社区古屋村。[6]

赖成基生于1907年，籍贯为万江新村。1926年2月入党，后任莞城铜铁锡工会委员长。故居在新村社区仁凤坊。[6]
