余屋村隶属东城街道余屋社区，在街道的东侧偏北，与鳌峙塘、周屋、峡口三个社区相接，离街道办事处大约7千米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，明末此地属东莞县文顺乡，清朝属缺口司。这个村在1999年被定为余屋行政村，而到2003年改属东城街道余屋社区。[1]

经济[edit]

据百度百科，村户籍人口在2015年末为1694人，面积1.8平方千米。村内有厂房约21.4万平方米；集体经济2015年的总收入为2237万元。[1]

文化[edit]

村中有余氏宗祠与进士牌坊。余氏宗祠始建年代，据博雅地名网的社区页为明弘治元年（1488年）。[2]
