岗贝社区位于东城街道的中部地带，东面与石井社区相邻，南面是火炼树社区，西侧靠近莞城街道，北面与主山社区接壤。[1]

社区的前身是岗贝村，后来先后设镇、改为居民管理区，2005年才定名为社区居委会。辖区面积约13平方千米；博雅地名网载户籍人口16187人，未注统计年份。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1944年这里还称岗贝村，归莞城镇的环城乡管辖。此后数次变动隶属：1953年划入第一区罗沙乡，1958年归附城公社。1984年设岗贝镇，隶属附城区；1987年改为居民管理区，归附城街道。1999年成为居委会，改由东城街道办事处管理，2005年定名社区居委会，直至今日。[1]

社区概况[edit]

社区下设5个居民小组和1个岗贝围股份经济合作社，辖区有49个花园大厦及商贸区，岗贝市场与东城市场各为一处市场，此外还有若干中小学和医院。户籍4617户，其中家庭户4595户。[2]

2014年1月至2016年6月，社区收入共计4632万元，其中财政补助占3429万元。支出4381万元中，多数用于工资与经费。[2]

荣誉[edit]

全国综合减灾示范社区的称号，是2022年11月确定的，所针对的年度为2021年。2015年，社区获得全国和谐社区建设示范社区与广东省退休人员社会化管理服务示范点两项称号，2017年又获东城街道2016年度优秀社区。[1][2]
