初溪村是广东省清远市英德市连江口镇的一个行政村，位于连江北面，距镇政府约15公里[1]。

概况[edit]

博雅地名网所载人口2750人（年份未注），耕地1600亩，山林58000亩，下辖17个村民小组[1]。山地占了大部分，土地肥沃，水源也足，林业是本村的主要产业，砂糖桔与笋竹都有一定规模[1]。

沿革[edit]

1949年以前这里属初溪坑。1950年设初溪乡人民政府，1954年组建初级社，1956年改为高级社，1958年成立大队。1983年复为乡人民政府，1986年改为村委会，1990年为管理区，1998年10月7日改设为村委会[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予初溪村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号[1]。2023年5月，坑边村被评为「2022年广东省卫生村」[1]。
