石金村是西牛镇下辖的行政村，距西牛镇约25公里，距英德市区约60公里。全村541户、2422人，管辖22个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年设石金乡。1990年5月，此地分为金峰、石角坑两个管理区。1998年10月7日，原金峰管理区改称金峰村委会。此后，2004年12月10日，石角坑村委会并入该村委会。2005年1月28日，改称石金村委会，延续至今。[1]

地理环境[edit]

博雅地名网另记村内的金子顶，海拔570.8米，在英德西南地区排第二高，靠近九沙公路，离镇墟30多公里。[1]

经济[edit]

全村山地4000多亩，水田300多亩，主要种植麻竹笋、单竹、水稻、玉米、花生、冬瓜和豆角。麻竹笋在每年7月至11月采收。[2]

村内有2间竹签厂，生产各种规格的竹签和竹筷；另有大坝水力发电站一座。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，石金村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予楼子角村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
