地名由来[edit]

村名取辖内花园村与大田洞各一字而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设花田大队，1990年改称花田管理区，1998年10月7日改设花田村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

耕地主要种植水稻、沙糖桔和冬瓜；山地种植麻竹笋并经营苗圃，养殖有生猪与鱼苗培育。特色农副产品有白菜干、红薯干和各类苗木。[2]

村内设小学1间，村级卫生站1个。[2]

文化[edit]

2020年8月，花田村列入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单，产品为韭菜。2023年4月，花田村入选「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单。2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予塆角村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。2026年1月，花田村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
