历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历，据说是村东南的大山过去有白鹤，村中地势平整，俗称坪地，因此叫鹤坪。[1]
建国后先设大队和乡政府，1986年改为村委会，1990年改为管理区，1998年10月起复为村委会。[1]

村集体年经济收入不足1万元。村中提出制约发展的三项问题：电力线路建于上世纪70年代，老旧不堪；灌溉水源靠枫树坪水库，渠道渗漏严重；村组间泥路6.5公里尚未完善。[2]
文化[edit]
2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予鹤坪村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。2023年5月，又授予谢屋组「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
