历史沿革[edit]
村名来自村委会驻地所在的坪迳地片。[1]
1963年，小迳并入坪迳，组成大队。此后几经变动，1998年10月起称小迳村委会，2005年7月29日改名为坪迳村委会。[1][3]
抗日战争末期，邬强在茅坪建立游击队交通大队，在坪迳一带开展革命活动。解放战争初期，邬强调离，陈建忠负责全面工作，后陈建忠调走，廖碧波接任，此后设立茅坪村政府。[1]
人口民族[edit]
全村18个村民小组，有8个在山区，农业人口1650人，共380户。[1]
经济[edit]
耕地573亩，村集体经济薄弱。村委会提出的当前困难包括交通不便，需铺设7公里长的水泥村道，以及村委会办公条件较差，需搬迁新址。[2]
村委会的设想是大力开展招商引资，利用水电等资源发展产业。[2]
