青石村是望埠镇下辖的行政村，位于镇北部，是革命老区，距镇圩约14公里。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作「千石」，意思是山多，解放后希望变成绿水青山，因「千」「青」音近，改称青石。[1][3]

建国后先设大队，再改为乡，1986年才成为村委会，1990年设管理区，1998年10月起称青石村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域总面积2万亩，其中山地1.9万亩、耕地约1000亩。村子属石灰岩地区，土层浅薄，适宜种植的经济作物较少。[1][2]

人口民族[edit]

全村分12个村民小组，共235户、1310人。[1]

经济[edit]

2022年10月，广东省农业农村厅把青石村列为「2022年广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」，主产英德红茶。[1]

村集体可支配年收入约3万元，村委会近年因修公路负债约13万元。村民以种植水稻为主，多数青壮年外出打工。[2]

文化[edit]

2014年清明期间，村中发生山火，经军地联合扑救，险情得以化解。[3]
