历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明洪武年间（1368年至1399年），先民从福建珠玑巷迁至黄邑铺所属的赤珠古村一带定居。[1]

1954年，村里几个初级社合成一个高级社；1958年又与坪迳等地的高级社并为赤硃大队。此后一度并入文立大队，1983年设文立乡，1986年重设村委会，1998年10月7日起为村委会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村总人口1544人，有党员34名，支部委员3名。[1]

经济[edit]

2008年，集体经济收入为13万元。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予古村村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号。[1]

2022年8月，古村村被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。[1]
