望埠镇是广东省清远市英德市下辖的镇，位于英德市中部的北江河畔，离英德市区约13公里。[3][4]
截至2020年6月，全镇辖3个社区、13个行政村。2019年末户籍人口57205人，辖区面积，百度百科载207.3平方千米，博雅地名网载214.7平方公里。[1][3][4]
历史沿革[edit]
望埠古时称望夫冈，相传有一名女子日日到河边等待外出谋生的丈夫，久等不归，身化为石像立在石冈上，地名由此而来。[1][3]
建国初这里先设望河、赤珠两个乡，土改时并入第一区，此后行政名称屡次变动。1958年办起东风人民公社，次年改为望埠人民公社；1960年，一部分地方划出，另立沙口公社。[3]
1983年11月起称望埠区公所，1986年起为镇建制。[1][3]
地理环境[edit]
望埠位于英德市中部，地处北江河畔。西面与英城街道、横石塘镇相邻，东面连接东华镇，北面与沙口镇接壤。[2][4]
人口民族[edit]
第七次全国人口普查结果，于2021年6月公布，望埠镇人口为4.02万人，在英德市各街道乡镇中排第5位。[3]
经济[edit]
望埠的主要产业是水泥工业。[2]
2019年的统计显示，规上工业产值约62.3亿元，农林牧渔及服务业产值4.5亿元，固定资产投资6.23亿元；税收7284.08万元，比上年多14.3%。[1]
2025年8月，望埠镇列入「广东省第三批百千万工程专业镇」建设名单。[3]
文化[edit]
英石的主要产区在望埠，早在1996年，本镇就获广东省人民政府确认为「广东省民族民间（英石）艺术之乡」。[2]
2021年9月初，国家体育总局授予望埠镇「2017-2020年度全国群众体育先进单位」称号。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
奇洞温泉，全称英德奇洞温泉度假村，原名英德溶洞温泉度假村，位于李屋村，属国家4A级旅游景区，以自然溶洞景观为特色，温泉井口水温在54至57摄氏度之间。[6]
中华英石园位于望埠镇省道347公路旁，以英石文化为主题，园区占地近500亩，展出英（奇）石4500多件。[5]
宝墩湖生态旅游景区位于望埠镇，为国家3A级旅游景区，内设湖山温泉中心，环绕一片原生湖的温泉别墅群共有218幢。[5]
