铁坑村属连南瑶族自治县（广东省清远市）寨岗镇，位于镇的西部，离镇政府约3公里，离县城约38公里。[1]

旧时村内有一条较大的山坑，山上蕴藏着较丰富的铁矿，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆十二年（1747年）此处为铁坑堡，属永化乡；1940年称铁坑甲，归寨岗乡第四保；新中国成立后编为第九村。[1]

1953年自阳山划出；1961年与香车合并，组成铁坑生产大队，归寨岗公社；1980年10月又设立铁坑生产大队；1983年改为铁坑乡；1986年又变为铁坑村；1988年成为管理区，1999年村民委员会设立。[1]

广东省爱国卫生运动委员会在2017年10月授予村子「第一批广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
