水建村位于岭背镇西面，距镇圩约9公里，下辖24个村民小组，由镇到村车程约10分钟。村名的来由是大多数村庄依犁头水及其支流两岸而建。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年9月，水建村列入第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为香料。2022年1月，水建村被确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。2026年1月，水建村获评广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2013年底，全村4825人住在1056户里，劳动力3163人。耕地约4244亩：水田2983亩，旱地1261亩。2014年村集体经济收入1.5万元，村民收入以农业和外出务工为主。[1]

适老化改造[edit]

2023年8月，村党总支针对特殊困难老年人的居家安全，为两户老人的家庭做了适老化改造。工作人员按“一户一策”制订方案，上门安装了安全设施，并送去便利器材，教老人使用方法。[2]

乡村绿化[edit]

2025年，村里将乡村绿化与产业结合，向村民发放2000株板栗苗木，全村增种板栗40亩。[3]
