船洞村位于小江镇西北部，是镇内的边远革命老区村，村委会距圩镇约12千米，下辖19个村民小组。全村耕地共1275亩，水田275亩，旱地1000亩。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

2014年底统计，全村共383户、1556人，劳动力1025人。农民年人均收入8131元，村集体收入17.72万元，经济总收入2490.05万元。收入主要靠种养业和劳务输出，约95%的村民参加农村合作医疗。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，船洞村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村的建制几经变动：1940年设保，1952年改设乡政府，1958年改为生产大队，1983年又设乡政府，1987年改为村民委员会，1989年改为管理区，1999年再改为村民委员会，此后沿用至今。[2]
