村名来自村中人口在镇内最多。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
2014年底统计，全村共1005户、4471人。农民年人均收入6893元，集体收入27.36万元，经济总收入3627.31万元。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村的建制几经变动：1940年设保，1952年改设乡政府，1958年改为生产大队，1983年又设乡政府，1987年改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1999年再改为村委会。2005年4月，冷水村委会被撤销，并入塘楼村委会，此事经县人民政府批准。[1][2]
