沙寮村位于小江镇西部，离小江圩镇约1千米，下辖20个村民小组。全村耕地共2800亩，水田1000亩，旱地1800亩。[1]

2014年底统计，全村共699户、2972人，劳动力1653人。农民年人均收入7225元，集体收入9.82万元，经济总收入3135.36万元。村民收入以种植和外出务工为主，蚕桑种植约有1000亩。[1]

荣誉[edit]

广东省农业农村厅于2021年9月公布第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，沙寮村以桑蚕入选。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村的建制几经变动：1940年设保，1952年改设乡政府，1958年改为生产大队，1983年又设乡政府，1987年改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1999年再改为村委会，此后沿用至今。[2]
