地名由来[edit]
村中有一条小坑贯穿中部，村名由此而来。[1]
村落与人口[edit]
全村650户，人口2700人，耕地2460亩。下辖7条自然村，即胜堂前村、米田村、白芒坝村、大伍洞村、格海村、汶坑村与小坑村。[1]
产业[edit]
村内以沙糖桔等经济作物为主。村内建有粮食烘干中心，麻竹笋、丝苗米、胡萝卜等种植发展较快。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
合作化时期为小坑社，1958年至1983年为小坑大队，1984年至1986年设小坑乡政府，1987年至1990年为村委会，1995年改设小坑管理区；2005年，小坑村委会与汶坑村委会合并，称小梅村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2019年9月，村庄列入2018年「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2024年3月，村庄被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
