建中村是禾云镇下辖的行政村，位于镇政府西北面，距镇政府约18公里，辖14个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

旧时一位县长陈守仁在此兴办学校，取名建中学校。村民为纪念他的义举，便以「建中」为本地命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年此地设建中乡，1958年改设建中大队，1983年再设乡，1986年转为村委会，1989年称管理区，1999年又回到村委会建制，沿用至今。[1]
