新平村是禾云镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东北面，距镇政府约18公里，辖17个自然村。村内有明代墓葬陈千二郎墓。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取「新」字之意为不断创新，「平」字之意为平稳发展，寄望村委会的各项事业如此。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1953年此地为升平乡，1958年为升平大队，1983年改设新平乡，1986年改为新平村委会，1989年实行管理区体制，1999年定名为新平村委会，沿用至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈千二郎墓为明代墓葬，清光绪三十一年（1905年）重修，墓门上刻有三副对联。[2][3]
