2019年9月，石岗村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2021年12月，获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

石岗一带1953年建乡，即石岗乡；1958年划为石岗大队。1983年仍用乡制，1986年改为村委会，1989年纳入管理区，1998年又恢复村委会。2003年6月珠坑镇撤销，本村随之属龙颈镇；2004年10月，它与横塘合并为一个村委会[1]。
