珠坑村位于龙颈镇南部，清连高速南下的终点收费站设在村委会辖区内[1]。村名原作猪坑，因溪流经过一块形似猪的石头而得名，后人以谐音雅化为珠坑[1]。

2019年9月，珠坑村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

2004年10月，珠坑与白云合并，组成现行的珠坑村委会。此前，该地于1953年建乡，名为珠坑乡；1964年设大队，1983年撤大队归乡，1986年转为村委会，1989年纳入管理区，1991年改称中心管理区，1998年恢复村委会名称。2003年6月，珠坑镇撤销，村划归龙颈镇[1]。
