龙北村是龙颈镇下辖的行政村，紧邻龙颈圩北部，村名取自它位于龙颈墟北侧的位置[1]。村内的大围村有太平乡祠，是黎、陈、吴等十个姓氏合建的祠堂，俗称「十姓祠」[1][2]。

2021年12月，龙北村获「2021年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年3月，又被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。2024年1月，龙北村被确定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」[1][4]。2022年1月和2023年4月，龙北村两次进入省级乡村治理示范的创建名录[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1953年时属龙北乡；1958年分出城国、茅田、大围三个大队，到1983年三队重新并入龙北乡。1986年起称村委会，1989年划为管理区，1999年复设村委会[1]。

经济[edit]

村内发展美香占功能性水稻等一村一品项目，并推进中宿居文旅融合建设，对门楼、牌坊及古巷道周边建筑进行修缮[3][4]。

文化[edit]

禁毒英雄吴桂忠烈士故居位于龙北村，村内还有大围古城墙[3][4]。
