矮车村是三坑镇下辖的行政村，下辖24个自然村。村名的来历是：旧时村后是一片低洼的汪田，人们常在低处车水灌溉高处的田，「矮车」之名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

矮车最初于1953年设乡，1958年改作大队，1983年又成乡，1986年起为村委会。1989年一度改为管理区，1998年重回村委会建制；2004年9月并入了飞星村委会的范围，统称矮车村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年12月，广东省爱卫会授予矮车村「2021年广东省卫生村」荣誉称号；2024年3月，村里获得「2023年广东省卫生村」的命名。[1]
