低地村委会位于山塘镇北面，靠近清四公路，距镇政府约8公里，是镇内的一个行政村。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：原回澜镇境内地势最低的一处，村委会设在那里，因此得名。[1]
低地村最初属于回澜镇。2002年4月回澜镇撤销后，改由山塘镇管辖；2004年9月大湾村并入，仍称低地村委会。建制方面，1953年设低地乡，1958年改大队，1983年又改为乡，1986年成为村委会，1989年改管理区，1998年回到村委会的建制。[1]
经济[edit]
原本闲置的低地小学如今改成了厂房，企业进驻后，村集体每年多出31万元收入。[2]
荣誉[edit]
低地村出现在2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单上，名单公布于2019年9月。大围村于2023年5月获得「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。村里本身在2024年3月被评定为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
