地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子所在处曾立有一块划分清远县与三水县界线的牌子，村民称之为界牌，村委会驻地设在此处，村名由此而来。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1942年，此地先叫和平福乡，1945年变作界牌乡，1953年又称石英乡。1958年才成为界牌大队，1983年改设为乡，1987年改为村委会，1990年划为管理区，1999年转回村委会。[1]
