高屋村隶属阳春市八甲镇，村名来自北宋时建村与明代迁建的旧事。[1]

名称来历[edit]

北宋绍圣年代（1094—1098年），一支高姓族人在八甲大山下的高坡上立村。明朝时，杨姓人在高姓旧村遗址上盖房，取「高屋建瓴」之意，改称高屋村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1951年建乡，1958年并入大队序列，1983年改设乡政府，1986年又称村委会，1989年变为管理区。[1]

阳春市人民政府于1999年3月15日核准组建高屋村委会，此后沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月，高屋村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」称号。[1]

2023年10月，南木村、挽角村列入「2023年度阳江市卫生村」名单。[1]
