盘新村是阳春市潭水镇下辖的行政村。阳春市人民政府于1999年2月4日批准设立盘新村委会。[2]
2020年8月，盘新村列入首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产业为水产种苗。2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局确认盘新村为2021年度乡村治理示范村的创建对象。2023年11月，该村入选广东「百千万工程」首批典型县镇村。2024年4月，盘新村进入广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村的创建名录。[1]
