永宁镇是广东省阳江市阳春市下辖的镇，位于阳春市西部山区，东接马水镇、三甲镇，西邻信宜市新堡镇。全镇面积约365平方千米，下辖永宁社区和24个行政村。[1][2][4]

镇名一说来自南朝时冼夫人在云雾山设立永宁郡的旧事。[1] 历史上这一带属西山地区，明万历年间划归东安县，民国时成为云浮县的飞地，1950年起并入阳春县。[3][5]

历史沿革[edit]

隋大业二年（606年），西城、流南二县被废并入铜陵县，永宁属铜陵县辖地，隶信安郡。唐武德四年（621年）复置春州并设流南县，永宁为其属地；次年流南县并归阳春县。北宋开宝六年（972年）流南县再并入阳春县。[3]

北宋熙宁六年（1073年）春州被撤，阳春县改属南恩州，西山仍属阳春县。明万历五年（1577年）十一月，阳春县西部山区（含今永宁镇一带）划出，并入新置的东安县。[3][5]

1915年，东安县易名云浮县，西山成为云浮县的一块飞地，编为第六区。1949年10月阳春县城获得解放，此后阳春县政府替云浮县管理西山一带，并组建西山特别区政府；同年12月中旬西山全境获得解放。[3]

1950年8月，西山地区划归阳春县，设为第七区，区址在圭岗圩，永宁是其下辖的8个乡之一。[5] 同年11月，第七区析出新江、双江、庙龙、永宁四乡另设第八区，区址在永宁圩，1956年改称永宁区。[5]

1958年4月并乡，新江、硖石、庙龙三乡并入，组成永宁乡。1960年10月，圭岗、永宁两个人民公社合并为西山人民公社。[5]

2015年，阳春市人民政府批准设立永宁社区，即镇中心区。[6] 2021年12月，永宁镇获评阳江市2021年度卫生镇的称号。[1]

截至1999年末，全镇总人口为52913人，农业人口则为49841人。[2] 第七次全国人口普查数据公布于2021年6月，永宁镇人口约2.38万，在阳春市各街道乡镇的人口排行中居第15位。[1]
