南河村是陂面镇的一个行政村，城乡分类上为镇乡结合区。南朝时当地已建高岗峒，1951年秋土改时称南河乡，1999年设立村委会。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

南朝时，高凉部落在此建立高岗峒；明、清两代设高岗堡。民国时，高岗堡分为高南、高北两乡。因位于西山河以南，1951年秋土改时，高南乡改名南河乡。1958年转为大队，1983年又设乡政府，1986年设村委会，1989年改设管理区。1999年2月5日，经阳春市政府批准设立村委会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年8月，南河村以淮山列入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单。广东省乡村振兴局在2022年1月把南河村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。[1]
