1999年3月4日，阳春市人民政府批准三丰村委会的设立。此前，该地1949年建乡，1958年成为大队，1983年设为乡政府，1986年为村委会，1989年转作管理区。[1]

2023年4月，三丰村出现在2022年省级乡村治理示范村创建名单上。2021年12月，阳江市把三丰村委会的新屋村列入2021年度卫生村名单。[1]
