禾塘村位于阳西县新圩镇，城乡分类属村庄（代码220）。据博雅地名网的镇概况，禾塘圩曾开设个体经营的南药批发市场。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

禾塘在1949年属阳江县七区，1953年属十七区，1958年12月改归入儒洞人民公社。1959年成立禾塘生产大队，1961年划归新墟人民公社。1983年开成立禾塘乡，由新墟区管辖；1987年2月成立村委会，1988年阳西建县后隶属新墟镇；1989年建立管理区，仍隶属新墟镇；1999年重新设立村委会，沿用至今。[2]

物产[edit]

镇概况称，香蕉集中在河角、禾塘、沙河等村，首乌则多种在新圩和禾塘。[2]

荣誉[edit]

阳江市2021年度卫生村名单中，禾塘村委会下辖的上平山村与山塘仔二村入选，名单公布于2021年12月。[1]
